... We met a couple from Holland who were headed North towards Kotor and we decided to split a taxi with them for cost savings. The drive to Kotor was exciting, to say the least. The highway weaved in and out of coastal cliffs and inlets and was packed with crazy and aloof drivers while somehow maintaining a state organized chaos.

It is said to be one of Europe's best preserved cities from ...

So imagine my surprise, upon learning from my host, on the ride from the train station, that parts of Stary Bar (Old Bar) date back to 500 BC.

He said there is a live olive tree in Bar that has been dated back to 500 BC also. I tried to find it but my map sense didn't work and I ran out of energy and time. But I ...

Day 292 - Uncharted Waters

... moss covered rocks that contained it. We slipped our worn yellow boat into the waters and cut across the crystal clear surface without sound or effort. The bow pointed straight into the slow rolling wake and pulsed slowly with the oncoming tide, up and down, up and down. I pulled the outboard engine to life, steered the propeller toward the open waters and let the wash of spray and sun envelope me as the wind blew through my hair and slapped my ...
