Another lazy day
... butter and dill, cucumber salad with sour cream, and had some leftover goulash to go with it. Heaven!
To top it all off, Polish volleyball players beat the team from Argentina 3:0 in sets, which means we regained our high standing in the group. Two more group competition games and then quarterfinals. God willing!

Up in the mountains for a day
You guessed it! I skipped a day of blogging yesterday and took some more time to read and watch the Olympics. Of course after our volleyball players also decided to take a day off from playing hard and lost an important game with Bulgaria. It wasn't an elimination game, but still, it does us fans no good to see our dream team lose a game.
So today I decided to get off the couch and venture out into the mountains. I know ...
Rain and reading
... taking my third picture, when suddenly, a young woman, presumably the owner's daughter, ran out of the house and started walking toward me. I smiled nicely and quickly turned my camera to the house next door.
I guess, she decided that I was just a tourist taking pictures in this pretty area and she didn't speak to me. I had to finish my snooping around and decided to go to town to have some coffee.

... foreign language, one could hardly tell that he/she left one country and entered another when going to the Czech Republic.
The architecture is similar and stores carry similar items, at least by the border. I quickly found 1 L bottles of Kofola and used Czech "koronas" borrowed from Marek to get them. Yum!
