The town of Copan is actually called Copan Ruinas, which is a bit confusing as the ruins are actually about a kilometre away. The town itself, however, is a really beautiful place and you could easily spend a week here relaxing in the great cafes and visiting the nearby sights. The guidebooks say the nicest town in Honduras. We can't really comment as we have pretty limited experience but we liked it so much that we stayed an extra day just to soak up a bit more of the ...
