... on my bus to head back to the central district of BA.
It had been a great few days down in Mar del Plata spending time with friends. It was a little sad that all of us went our separate ways but I know that we will continue to keep in contact.
So back In BA for a night before heading off to Sao Paulo to catch up with most of my Brazilian friends. It’s the last few weeks in South America for me so I’ve got to make the most of it.

So after Buenos Aires, I stayed in Mar del Plata with a couchsufer named Sergio. He is a psychology student and works with trouble youth in a really bad neighborhood. I had the opportunity to go with him one day.
The kids are into Morga. Which is a style of street drumming music based in the Buenos Aires area. They showed me some of their rhythms and their instructor played guitar as well, and knew BLUES!!!! So ...
... sidewalk and they had a singer entertaining us with traditional Argentine songs. This was not a fancy establishment, so it seemed like we were the only tourists there and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the singing and clapping at favourite parts of the songs. At midnight everyone stood up together for a toast and some of the locals came over and toasted with us which was really nice. And then the obligatory fireworks! I don't think any ...
