    ... region of France. However, it has come to be what the whole area is known as especially to the Brits. The river sits in the midst of a wide sandstone valley dotted with castles, chateaus, medieval villages, caves, gardens all built into the cliffs which seem to embrace the place. The greeness of the place, its clear blue skies and very pretty villages are captivating. It has been well looked after and made accessible for the many visitors who come here to take it all in.

    ... found our way back onto the Amiens/Calais freeway (A16). Then it was a case of looking for an Aire where we could stop and check the damage. Twenty minutes later we came across an Aire. Just in time to stop Kathy throttling Peter!

    Bahahahaha.

    2PM, and I'm still very much in Belgium, looking for a services to get some food from. The one I did find has three kilogram tubs of Nutella, cartons of cartons of cigarettes, and halls of wine & spirits for the travellers heading over the boarders. No sandwiches though. Bugger.

    ... for the collection from the local wood craftsman for next years tree and we are stopping in Saillagouse at our favourite deli on the way home for lots of nice pate, hams, cheeses (particularly Manchego) and sweet wines.
