Tio Jose and Patricia decided to join us on our ride, and hopped on their motorcycle to tour around the area of Villavicencio. We left Bogota and enjoyed the beautiful, sunny day on the road. Up at 0430. TV still on poolside outside our door with the US election blaring, no one watching. At least the black guy who speaks well and is believable beat the cult flip flopper. The hotel in Villavicencio has a large swimming pool and a public area. At the restaurant small snacks and typical regional dishes are served.
The staff is utterly kind and does anything to make your stay comfortable. They even will pick you up and bring you to Villavicencio if you don't have your own transport.
