When I was small, having tea with my Bonne mammy was one of my most favorite pastimes. The stories, the company and of course the delicious cakes were irresistible to a young girl.

... town hall and the main canal which has cafes and restaurants along it. We sat at a pub whilst Mark consumed a trappist beer and realised from our little guidebook that the abbey of St. Sixtus (where monks make Westvleteren trappist beer) is only an hours drive from Gent! Of course we decided to visit the abbey tomorrow!

Even though I don't drink beer I am keen to see this abbey and the elusive monks who make it so difficult to get their beer.
