... forward to it so I can see it for real and remember and reflect and the other part is dreading it.

Supper tonight was really good - a couple of people had pig's knuckles which tasted divine (I had pasta with chargrilled veg and supposedly spicy sausage but couldn't taste it at all...am suspicious they didn't include it). Up early tomorrow so am off to bed (rather than going drinking).

... don't think we could have gone out hunting for somewhere for dinner. It was hot again today, another 29C day, with high humidity. Started off with a beer of course, Diana (host) also slipped us some Slivovitz! Bloody hell, that is quite some firewater, Lana was going to tip her's in the garden then drank it all! Actually it is quite nice once you got your taste buds around it. But dinner was tremendous, a fantastic menu so I had venison and Lana ...

... Police have quite a presence in the Czech Republic and in Hungary, however not in black uniforms but plain colours. They are always in pairs and just walk around the main squares and shopping centres, maybe it's to limit crime but they're not intimidating, just there! You never get ice in a cold drink nor do you get asked if you want ice, it's not there! Bicycle helmets - kids have to wear them but not compulsory for adults though the majority of adults in the Czech Republic do wear ...
