... village! But the 'houses' were too small - only just though.

There were a lot of things I didn't manage to get photos of. The piles and piles of wood which were stacked up beside the houses; the solar panel farms that covered several acres in Germany; cats (saw heaps of dogs - on leads, strays, on farms); the majestic swans out on the rivers; etc

After what seemed like an eternity of riding through the port, we eventually hit the end and had to make a right hand turn. Now the wind was no longer front on, we could cruise down quite easily. I would much rather prefer having a king or queen than a president. I'm into that kind of stuff. One thing I don't really like about London was how its becoming so modern. I like seeing the castles and older buildings but now things are changing and there are way more modern and odd ...

Well here I am. In the middle of the English Channel. On a ginormous boat. In a small but lovely cabin some 8 or so floors from the decks below, where there is a sign-written van with a titchy car shoehorned inside it. It's half past three in the morning, UK time, & I can't sleep - mostly because I have backache (not sea sick - the pills or wrist bands are working!), but also my head is so full ...

        Keukenhof (tulips)

... Wilhelmia pavilion was a beautiful flowerbed of crocuses and a half frozen lake. The Wilhemia pavilion has the dutch themed restaurant but they didn't have that many good cakes left. Having seen some nice cakes in the restaurant where I had lunch I decided to walk back round to the Willem-Alexander pavilion to have coffee and cake before admiring the tulips again before leaving. They still had some slices of Indonesian layer cake left in the restaurant so had a slice and another ...
