I think we were on the road before 08:00 this morning. We had a very short uphill section from our overnight stop to rejoin the delightful road which runs over the Cisa pass, and then we were on our way. Today Matteo & Caterina drove us to Milan for the day. We parked in the suburbs and caught the Metro in to the centre. The first stop was via Monte Napoleane where all of the big fashion houses have their flagship stores. They all have security inside the closed doors, and only allow people in if they are serious shoppers and can afford the exorbitant prices. Window shopping was all we could manage. Just opposite the parking station was the Villa Monastera which has a beautiful botanic garden. We decided to look around the garden. They were lovely with an amazing array of plants from all over the world and the unexpected bonus was that the Villa was open for viewing. In the literature that Roger had seen the villa was only open for ...

... guide who brought us to the Castle then headed to the Opera and Dummo (marks the towns center). The Dummo was the most breathtaking cathedral I have ever seen. It was huge and had the highest ceilings with the most amazing stain glass windows. Tori and I made our way through the beautiful outdoor shopping center to the BEST EVER gelato stop at cioccolat Italiani). Here I has a cone filled with melted dark chocolate topped with vanilla and hazelnut gelato, drizzled with Nutella ...
