... the clear waters! We booked our first one for the following morning at 9am so got an early night and all excited at the possibility of seeing some turtles in the morning!! Our first dive... WE SAW TURTLES!!!! It was a very exciting moment under water when we saw our first turtle as we were both so eager to see one!! We had a great dive - the waters here are so clear that the visibility is really good! We were finished and home by lunch time so spent the afternoon sunbathing ...

... was in fact paradise! Despite the beautiful fresh fish, we had to reign back the spending so opted for some cheaper options. Neil had Pepes Ikan, which as well as rice came with two different salads, one heavily dressed with thousand island sauce. Nay had grilled squid, a bit heavy on the chilli. Kuta Beach is a great base here in Lombok, whichever way you go are stunning views and gorgeous white sandy beaches all with huge surf out on the reef. We have had a bike for our days here as public transport is nil and once you leave the tarmac road which is bad in places you have to go down dirt tracks to get to the bays. How the scooters cope with it I don,t know and we have been very lucky in that no punctures. The weather is in the 90,s ...
