Apologies to the handful of people following, this blogger seems to have gone to sleep at his keyboard this week. ... watching the French enjoy their summer holidays.
Our tour guide Vincent led us to the harbour and to get some Basque Macarons which are completely different from the coloured ones but delicious. The harbour square area was a delight with the water clean and grey mullet swimming, artistes painting and selling their works. The town is beautiful.
Back to the car and off to Spain and San Sebastian which we had heard so much about.

... French. I kind of hope I meet some French people on the Camino that I can talk to. But for me, I think I need to get last basic topics, like asking directions, talking about myself or my country and politics etc and start being able to talk about other things that I wouldn't normally. ... all of the parkades had too low of roof clearance for us. We wandered along the seawall and up a small hill to a great view of the beach on either side. We passed by the harbour which looked like quite the maze to get into with its several walls and openings in them.
