Day trip to Mazatlan

A travel blog entry by ironworker025

... for dinner.

After dinner we went to the top of the Freeman Hotel for a drink and a view of the sunset and the Colonial district of the city. It is a wonderful place to see it all. The city is getting ready for their Carnival celebration with large paper mache statues of clowns and the like.

It is also where the new part of town has sprawled. A newish hospital, Sam’s Club, McDonald’s and an indoor shopping mall comparable to the good ones in the USA are located there. Just north of that is an area with the high end resorts ...
