She started the tour showing us a map of the town explaining Cesky means Bohemia and Krumlov means wandering river which describes the place beautifully. There was a town on the other side of the river called Latran which also produced beer.

... we did. She had made the lightest crepe/pancakes filled with ham and cheese. They were so light and crisp and delicious, the ham smoky and the cheese a Czech speciality. She gave us one each, so beautifully presented on the plate, folded into a quarter but she put an extra one down for Rob, not that he needed it. We enjoyed the crepe immensely. ... a roasted sweet dough made on a metal cylinder, rolled in cinnamon sugar, pushed off and served hot. More bread than donut like and very tasty. You can smell the roast wafting up the street to you. So hard to walk past.

In summer Krumlov is a major center for kayaking and rafting. We suspect it would get very crowded here then. There are quite a few tourists here now. Two nights has been enough to take it all in. We move on ...
