... of the airship is really good. Set off for Switzerland. Went into a tunnel in Germany and came out in Austria. There long enough to find our GoBox was malfunctioning. Told to go "7 km down the road on the left" to get it sorted , but after 7 km, we were in Switzerland! Then had to go into Customs Post to buy Road Tax permit for Switzerland. 10 days for $39 - not bad. Joined the motorway, and instantly, mountains! Back in VERTICAL country again! ... Triumph's and I felt more sorry for their drivers & passengers than I did myself. I at least had lots of layers, whereas they had clearly left sunny Disentis completely unprepared for the wind on the way up, and freezing cold mist on the other side.

... yesterday - clear and warm with the sun beaming off the snow. I had lunch in Gletsche and then tackled Nurfenen pass. I'd never been there before and the roads and scenery were just as spectacular as the others. I got to the base of Gotthard by 3pm and ignoring the signs to put me on the national road, I opted for the cobbled track.
