On the Road to Prague

... laying on a bed of red cabbage. A tall mug of beer topped it all off. Delicious! It was interesting that this Prague restaurant had both a smoking and non-smoking area and so we went downstairs to the non-smoking.

It was around 9:00 p.m. when we finished eating and started our trek back to the hotel. We had been told that it was perfectly safe to walk in Prague at night and we found that to be entirely true!

... bike tour company took care of the bikes. There were several bike tours available, to different castles, with longer routes and with multiple days. The only thing was the rental bikes were not great.

We ended our trip with a fabulous concert at the State Opera House - Le Rigoletto!

The Castle comes complete with guards, who like the guards at Buckingham Palace, are forbidden to speak. Of course, you are almost required as a tourist to have your picture taken with them. The inner courtyard is quite large. Along one upper story wall there are frescoes...the others were destroyed in a fire. It is also said that the courtyard contains a vortex. Do step ...

A Day Out of the City

... nap! The remainder of the night we spent grocery shopping, working on some school stuff, doing laundry, and resting up. All-in-all they told us we walked 10 miles today so we're pretty beat!

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice weather-wise so we have plans to go back to the Cathedral at Prague Castle that we visited earlier in the week for mass, see Charles Bridge for the first time, and do family dinner!
