There's a lot to like about this part of Germany, the people are helpful, friendly, courteous to cyclists and go quietly about their work. It was a good day for driving. It was quiet on the road so we made good time and drove further then we expected to. We left Utrecht at 1 pm and we arrived in Hengersberg at 7.30 pm. A late start, impending storm and repetitive scenery - fields, farms and hamlets - had us focused on just one thing - speed.
