... directly into the sea. The beach around KK is full of rubbish and filthy mud. So, We decided that we could do without going swimming at the islands as they are too close to the pollution for comfort. We did go to another orang utan sanctuary, which is linked to the Shang ri la hotel. It is pretty ordinary compared to seeing the orang utans in the wild as we did in Bukit Lawang. A speedy 45 min flight took us from the east coast back to where we started in kk. Flew in a two propellor plane (attached for Ted) which was small but perfectly formed. As the journey was short we stayed low so had some spectacular views from my window along the way, and managed to spy the smiley face of manukan island, which was our final designation. ... the stadium so me, sharif and Ahmed arrived there nice and early for the kick off. We went and bought our ticket which cost us 10 ringgits...£2 and made our way into the stadium. The stadium was actually really nice, it can hold up to 35,000 people so a decent size for a second division Malaysian football team. We were definitely the only white people here, and from all the constant stares and pictures been taken of us I don't think many westerners come to watch the football!! ...
