... countries as we drove parallel to Lichtenstein for about 30 km. Drove to Chur, our first "Night Halt" campsite. You camp outside a campsite, can use their water, electricity, etc, and costs about half the full camping fee. OK for us. Walked down to look at the roaring river next to the camp. Heard what we thought were gunshots, but discovered they were blasting in a nearby quarry. Only once in the night! Great night's sleep with the roar of the Au river to lull us to ...

... along at full-speed would have been a death-trap, with almost no visibility in the mist and very slippery roads. The misty fog became so thick that I had to stop to attach my lights; otherwise there was a serious danger of a car just running into the back of me. Only by some miracle did I spot the sharp right turn into the campsite at Acquarossa, some 1000m below the summit, but still with no better ...

Cobbled hairpins!! Honestly, you haven't ridden until you have conquered cobbled hairpin bends.

It was only 4pm when I got back to Andermatt and I couldn't handle the idea of calling it a day - so I turned around and rode to the top of Furka pass to watch the afternoon sun cast it's shadows across Grimsel. I stopped at the lookout and had a very delicious hot chocolate before heading back down the pass one last time.

... of sheep, goats, cows, donkeys, a horse and some dogs.

Felix asked then if they minded us sleeping near them. Even though it said no camping there, if we were with them we probably wouldn't have trouble from authorities. They were very friendly and seemed happy for us to set up for one night under the trees. They even invited us for coffee in there little caravan.

So we spent the evening sitting round a little table in their old, but clean and well kept ...
