... when we went to bed a huge toad was on the bedroom wall. What do you do when it is time for sleep and there is a large amphibian on the wall? - Switch off the light! He had disappeared by morning, but
did wake up another morning to wonder what we had spilt on the wall opposite until I put on my glasses and realised the 'stain' was ourfriendly toad again.

... Tours (the same folks who did the catamaran tour yesterday). They took us the Manuel Antonio National Park, which is Costa Rica's smallest, but most diverse, national park. If we did this first on our trip, we might have been really thrilled with it, but at this point of our trip, seeing a few more sloths, lizards and toucans wasn't all that. I guess we're spoiled now, huh?

Today we are on the lookout for sloths.. And we found some!! They are known as the koalas of Costa Rica and they are beautiful animals with a great hair cut.. (Mullet!!) There is one windy road to the famous Manuel Antonio Park and it is dotted with hotels and restaurants. We pop into lots of them and finally determine that the Hotel Casitas Eclipse would do the trick. Here, once again, we will take a shortcut and paste in our TripAdvisor report of the hotel:

On our last night in Manuel Antonio we enjoyed a great meal at El Avion, a massive plane inside a restaurant. We sat on a table at the edge which overlooked a bay and witnessed a fantastic thunderstorm with amazing lightning! Every now and again the sky would light up enough to glimpse the beautiful coastline, and then huge bright forks of lightening zig-zagged in the sky. Incredible.
