    ... not the Se****lia model… Then I take a couple of photos of some of the old cathedrals and the Main plazas… I’m tickled to see a list of Rimini’s sister cities and see “Ziguinchor, Senegal” on the list… No disrespect for Ziguinchor (which I visited back in 2004) but I think Rimini is a little out of your league… Then around on the north side of town where I come upon an authentic Roman bridge-- that’s still in use! ...

    ... walking around this town, and seeing all the young Greeks sitting in cafes, all the shops that shut between 12:30 and 3-ish, then we were wondering how bad was the GFC affecting them?

    Another thing that we are noticing in Greece is how everything shuts during the off-season. Thankfully, all the museums, etc are open, but campgrounds and tourist-focussed shops are closed. Even a lot of eateries are shut. This could turn out be a bit of a problem for us.

    Liam of course could not be left out, and even though it was sunny insisted on wearing the new scarf which Michael bought this morning. He enjoyed the views, but did try to take a short cut over the fence one time - the great escape it was not! After that embarrassing interlude, Michael banished him to the rucsac for a while.

    ... of note and beauty to Joy to study and write about.....but this one small painting was in her head.

    3 hours later she wandered out the gallery, tablet full of notes,head full of colours, compositions, brush strokes etc., and Bianca Sforza....and strolled down the hill to meet Michael for lunch.

    Then chatting about their respective visits he asked "....and what did you think of the Lapis fellow?"..... Who?......and the cartoons by Carracci ...

    ... what has become our favourite bar. Terrible really - we've only been here 36 hours and already have a favourite bar!
    Then back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. Michael actually fell asleep, but he is getting old you know! Anyway, we eventually wandered out again in search of dinner, something simple after last night's culinary extravagance, and chanced upon the Taverna degli Artisti. A great choice as luck would have it. A simple bar/restaurant ...
