    ... pedestrian mall with hundreds of beautiful shops, bars and restaurants. The apartment is a two bedroom with a living room, kitchen, shower room and powder room. Having booked online from pictures and reviews we were glad to find everything as advertised, clean and bright with all mod cons.     ... the decorations are made from bones of ancient monks. Krys and I gave it a miss and just strolled in the sunshine and had ice cream.

    Our lunch stop that day was a place called Excalibur Land. It was like a cross between the old SydneyShopping Centre and the Bill Lynch Shows. No rides for us, but we were happy to find Cherry Coke!

    I think I'll do Vienna as it's own ...

    ... Before heading back to the hotel or out we were able to explore the Christmas markets a bit more. A few of the boys introduced us to crowd racing a game where you have to 'race' to a designated finish line without running, pushing or asking people to move. Literally you have to pick the gap! It sounds like a silly game but was a lot of fun! Was a great way to finish our time in Vienna now off to bed for a driving day tomorrow!

    ... but they both moved far too quickly for me. Les reported that squirrels have cold noses. We had lunch/dinner at the train station where we changed lines, opposite a christmas market. Then we came home via the cake store. Les has gone out to see the hunger games squeal. I plan to stay in where it is warm. Tonight is our last night in Vienna. Tomorrow we journey to Munich.     Off the beaten track

    ... towards our hostels via the Museum walk. As we were standing in the gardens a large group of people walked by wearing some crazy outfits including a storm trooper! We guessed that there must be some sort of comicon on somewhere. It was a bit surreal! I took some photos then walked home saying bye to the guys.
