We also paid 1.60 for a bag full of clams from a guy on the street....sounds a bit dodgy right?!? Yeah I thought so as well but it's very popular and sold on every street corner, they are basically pre-cooked with rice in the shell and sold on the streets. How on earth do you tell if they are fresh or not?!? ....well you don't! Life's a risk!
