... the ferry. Panic overtook me slightly here, and I waited until I saw Manuel driving onto the ferry before embarking myself, I wanted to be sure we were going to end up on the same ferry! Apart from showing my ticket and my ID, I had an incident free passage onto the ship and to Reception, where I hoped Manuel might appear. He did, fuming! ... leaving their horse parked on the side of the rode not tied up at all, while they ran into the store for groceries! It was a trick worth noting for those of you who ride, it is to take one rein and put it under the front hoove of the horse. The horse holds himself , if he trys to walk forward the bit in his mouth would pull back and stop him.

After our "Express" bus from El Fuerte to Los Mochis, and yes, it actually was quicker, we got the usual variety of directions, misunderstood some from a bus conductor, walked around an unnecessary block and then stood where we should have, on the opposite side of the road from where we asked the bus conductor :-)

Then, there it was, a smaller sized but "Chicken Bus" nevertheless and proudly sporting the wonderfully named destination of Topolobampo :-)

... I got today is that I am only due back at work a few days later than I first thought and due to this gives me time to ride my bike to NewYork instead of only Las Vegas. It will add about 3500 miles onto my distance from the tip of the world at Ushuaia.

Its now almost 9pm here and my eyes are closing. I never got much sleep last night for the reason I was thinking hard if I should terminate at Las Vegas or race to New York!!! Of course now that I have ...
