... However, many flowers are actually cut off (dead headed) in the field so the nutrients can go to the bulbs which are then sold in the fall. It seems such a waste to see beautiful flowers lay on the ground.

It was a walking tour of Amsterdam that we did today. Lovely warm day and Amsterdam is a flat and beautiful city. The canals are lovely and there are bicycles everywhere.

... backed only to find our missed junction was a signpost completely obscured by overgrown bush!! I reckon we do about 40km a day during which we spend about a quarter of the time lost!!

The campsite in Leiden is lovely. Our van is parked on a piece of grass right next to a mooring, maybe four rows of about thirty boats. During the night you can hear the gentle chink of the rigging against the masts. Its a beautiful sound.
