... to even get close back home. The place we stayed at was not exactly five star, but it wasn't that awful because we were almost never there. It is really weird to think that the next day is our last day in Italy, since I've grown really accustomed to the culture. But I'm still glad to go home back to the privacy of my own room and not being on the move all the time.

... I bought wine at an enotecia, where the wine is available from little spigots coming from big rubber balloons sitting in barrels. Perhaps these are stateside as well, but everything about wine is new to me. I didn't have a bottle so she filled my small plastic water bottle I'd been using for painting. For 1 Euro. I think it would be easy and fun to be an alcoholic here, if it weren't for the fact that eventually, one would stumble into a canal.
