... great feeling of the diversity and size of Spain and France travelling across it by train.
At Seville we had an hour and 10 minutes until our train on to Jerez where our journey ends for three weeks. We are returning by train at the end of August with a bunch of friends taking in Barcelona again, Aix en Provence, Annecy and Paris but that is another story......
... even more pleasure today…I packed some of the
food from my yesterday, walked the ˝ hour into town (no city buses that early) and
caught a regional bus to Jerez, where I grabbed a taxi to the Fundación Real Escuela Andaluza del
Arte Ecuestre (www.realescuela.org Royal Andalusian
School of Equestrian Art ). This was the one day trip I knew was
doable from Sanlucar, and I was not disappointed. No lines, very few people that early, and so
... in these new
surroundings. And ****, this is not sweater weather anyway.
The child-care is what is to be expected, as far as their needs
go. They trusted me immediately, and
they are all bright and generally good natured.
But GAWWWWDDDDD, I feel trapped.
Trying to understand the expectations of the parents, and
ask important questions (When are the days off? How often does the bus come? (it
is not ...
... but you could have been asked for a passport. From there it was a bus ride to the centre. We met Miriam and Lorraine, and after a drink had a meal. We left them and came back the hotel which has lovely grounds. The next day we returned to Gibralter and for £60 we did a taxi tour which we recommend. ... that. The tapas (small portion size meals) were just 1,20 euros each and the beer, as usual, was cheaper to purchase than the water. Our wonderful meal consisted of shrimp, calamari, meatballs, and a lovely vinegar salad. We knew that we were a pretty good distance from the hostel, but we walked back touring some churches that were full of people due to Palm Sunday. We had some ice cream and enjoyed the sunny day.
