The ship docked earlier than scheduled, and we left the ship shortly after 11 a.m. There was a long line of taxis waiting on the dock. After a twenty minute ride to the airport, we found the Avis counter and got the keys to the car—an upgrade to a Mercedes E class station wagon. Philip felt comfortable driving it, and we were ready to get …

Bicycling along the coast

The weather was indeed a bit sunnier and warmer today. We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast buffet with custom made omelets and an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits and freshly baked breads. We say at a lovely table with a view of the sea. After breakfast, we decided to bike along the ocean. Kai, Foster's host father, told us that they just built the beautiful pathways that border the beaches two years ago. We hopped on our beach ...

... We found out he is staying at the home with two other girls from the group. Today he went to the beach and swam in the sea. He is having a fabulous time and is once again hitting it off with his host family. Afterwards, we returned to the hotel for another relaxing night's sleep enjoying some more of the ice cream, wine and treats that we had purchased earlier. A perfect end to a relaxing day by the ...

... crabs. Then we went and played some mini golf next to the beach. The amazing breeze and air was very soothing as we enjoyed an amazing day. We also got to try many different flavors of ice cream. My favorite was the stracciatella. Sadly it started to rain and we had to go home. That night we had a fun night of telling stories, learning more about German culture and taking family ...

... So we weren't able to practice until we had 45 minutes before the concert. What made matters worse, besides the bad weather conditions, is that there was no echo so every sound could be heard. The concert did go ok so we were alright. In addition during intermission I was interviewed by a woman from the newspaper. I got a picture with my mom and brother. I had an amazing ...

We stayed at the Hotel Anno 1216 for two nights and had a great stay. We had the suite just off the lobby with the Baroque painted stucco ceiling. The suite is just gorgeous with three huge windows that open onto a lovely patio. When we arrived we were met by an English-speaking gentleman who checked us in, showed us to and around our suite, suggested a better place to park, and helped with the luggage when we returned with it. He suggested some great restaurants then made the reservations for us. He also fixed and served our breakfast the next two mornings. Service could not have been better! I highly recommend the Hotel Anno 1216 in Luebeck.
