We stayed at the Hotel Anno 1216 for two nights and had a great stay. We had the suite just off the lobby with the Baroque painted stucco ceiling. The suite is just gorgeous with three huge windows that open onto a lovely patio. When we arrived we were met by an English-speaking gentleman who checked us in, showed us to and around our suite, suggested a better place to park, and helped with the luggage when we returned with it. He suggested some great restaurants then made the reservations for us. He also fixed and served our breakfast the next two mornings. Service could not have been better! I highly recommend the Hotel Anno 1216 in Luebeck.

The ship docked earlier than scheduled, and we left the ship shortly after 11 a.m. There was a long line of taxis waiting on the dock. After a twenty minute ride to the airport, we found the Avis counter and got the keys to the car—an upgrade to a Mercedes E class station wagon. Philip felt comfortable driving it, and we were ready to get …

But luckily there was still a que to board the plane so I wasn't as late as I thought I'd be! I then read a letter Lena had given me, upon leaving and cried again so much! The 2 guys sat beside me must have thought I was a nut case balling my eyes out over a letter! ...

We packed everything and were finally done at about 11.30pm! Still with my backpack unpacked. But we headed to sleep as tomorrow is my last day and I must paint a block for lenas mum, as part of her project! Not that I'm a very good artist.. But it will be fun ...
Woke up about 9am to quickly get ready to catch the 10am bus into lübeck central city, where we would go shopping!! We each spent far too much, me buying MORE shoes! And Lena buying a lot of clothes! Then we decided we were hungry so stopped at a nice restaurant and got some lunch. I ate a physalis - which translates to "ground cherry" hahaha but it wasn't that nice, a bit tart actually. Was on the side cocktails we ...
... is not too good so we will probably not do a whole lot today. I booked my train ticket to Munich today, I'll be going there straight from Switzerland to see Andrew and spend a few days with him before I leave Germany. Managed to get a good price going there, but it's quite expensive coming back unfortunately, but it's alright as I'm not too sure when I'll be back in ...
