Smells like Cologne
... handcraft stalls, where goods are still produced in the traditional way. Lisa and I bought some hand-painted glass Christmas decorations from one of the booths. Many of the vendors were actually making the crafts at the booth, including the candy cane makers, who were rolling giant balls of sugar dough into candy canes. There were also booths of chocolate, cheese, and bratwurst.

In total we have walked/ visited "seven!" xmas markets in Cologne,, the city has put on a magnificent show.. from the city centre..Cologne is located on both sides of the Rhine River... to the riverside markets.. the visit to this city of one million plus has delighted us...
No hotel accommodation for us tonite.. the overnite train to Prague awaits !! All aboard...

The sights are nothing short of spectacular.. night fall increases the magic of it all
With satisfied tummies after all the tastings offered.. enough oohs and ah's for the day...and a mulled wine with souvenir mug to keep. it is time to re- charge for the next day of Cologne's Christmas ...

Noch ein paar Wochen, dann jeht et loss
Der erste Eintrag für diese Tour. Es mag vielleicht übertrieben sein, wenn man schon einige Wochen vor einem 3 wöchigen Urlaub einen Blogeintrag schreibt, aber die Vorfreude ist groß und das ist ja kein 0-8-15 Pauschal-Münzmallotze-Alkoholiday-Trip. Klares Ziel ist die Natur und pure Entspannung (naja Bungee steht auch auf der Agenda).
Außerdem gibt es ja auch noch so einige Dinge die man vorbereiten muss und bei denen es sich lohnt darüber zu schreiben.
