Day 13: Cascada Inacayal, Villa La Angostura

... at the hotel. We left the windows open just a bit to allow some fresh air to come in and join us. Early in the morning, Harvey suggests that I go out on the balcony and take a morning photo. He remembers yesterday morning's feelings and is encouraging me to do something that he knows I like. I love him so! I put on a robe, find my camera and feel the nippy morning chill. The colors of the sky and clouds are a soft pink and blue, like ...

Beautiful lake side view

... buy enough cuts of fresh meat and grill it our self's, thankfully the hostel had good cooking facilities making this easy to do. Delicious, the meat here really is great once you know what to buy and how to cook it. mmmmmmm. The wine on the other hand I think we can leave to Chile. Whilst in Bariloche we did a lot of relaxing and a hike to the Llao Llao island which was lovely and a great opportunity to see the outdoors of Argentina which ...

WEEK SEVENTY SIX, BIRTHDAYS, BLACKS, BUSTED

... the bank of snow, they must have magnets in there cause my board was totally draw to them! On one occasion I hit a bank, the snow fell away and revealed a river that I was sinking into! I had to wedge my **** on one bank and my board on the other, take my board off, fish it out of the river, throw it over the edge back on to the slope, then do some serious gymnastics to get up off out of the crevasse I was in with out going in to the water! I was feckin knackered! and the cat track ...

WEEK SEVENTY TWO, CHRISTMAS, CRACKERS, CAESAR

... over! Squeal with delight and clap hands like a seal on speed as guests arrive in all their awesome costumes! Good Santa and evil Santa, reindeer's and Rudolf, a tree, some presents, a dog - is for life not just for Christmas - a few shepherds and a sheep, an angel, Caesar, maybe it was Jesus, not too sure! A few kings, wise men, and a terrorist or two! Excellent effort on the costume front, very impressed! Guest appearances ...

WEEK SIXTY EIGHT, BUTTERFLY, BOYS, BREAK-INS

... following obediently behind the guide except me and my stubborn mule who wouldn't budge, that was until the gaucho came back and hit its backside and then he tore off with me clinging on for dear life almost lying flat on my front over the saddle and screaming for my life! Then the gaucho handed me a stick to hit the horse with as he said mine had some behavioral problems, like biting the other horses and racing off when ever he felt like it! Maybe we are ...

Eten Bij Zorreguieta

Bariloche: Does this chocolate make me look FAT?

... site, to be surprised by a shanty town like camping village of climbers. This area is where Brazilians and Argentine climbers spend their summers the area is really dry and the peaks are plentiful and challenging. Nice area, plus it is absolutely free to camp here all summer no wonder they are so many climbers here. Walked down the hill to the base of Cerro Cathedral and then hit up the local ice cream shop, we have to keep a tradition going. Next day ...

Unplanned trip to Villa La Angostura

... outside of town right on shore of Lake Nahuel Huape. After we layed out on the deck chairs while we took turns getting massages. The view from our bedroom, and our bed and our jacuzzi tub(!) was the best we've every had. Beautiful lake, incredible snow capped peaks. The hotel also has an indoor/outdoor pool that they keep heated at ...

It´s still pouring

... reading in bed easier. 9. Small lights for each individual bed so that you can go to bed at different times easier. 10. Hand towels, toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms. 11. Comfortable lounge area and dining area. 12. Finally the kitchen, such things as saucepans, more than one flame, collanders, sharp knives and the like are helpful. Honestly, some of the so called kitchens have been pointless, boiling water for tea was a challenge. O.k I think that is it for now.
