We then continued down the opposite flank before joining a farm road that took us back toward our cars. We stopped to replenish our water bottles before we carried on to a nice lunch stop before approaching our next peak.
We lunched in the shadows of the ruins of a stone finca while looking down toward the terraced valleys stretching southeast towards Benidorm to the sea.
Soon we ...
... the ridges. We could see some signs of the recent rainfall, there was some erosion and a few puddles of water...generally a rare sight in this part of Spain. Eventually we came to an old ruin where we stopped for lunch. Then we finished our hike, climbing back along the side of the ridge to complete the circle and return to our cars.
It was a great way to restart our walking program. Here are some photos of the day.

We had a terrific week, trying rebounding, zumba, yoga, hiking, juicing and cooking demonstrations. The staff is terrific, supportive and just plain fun! But most of all we met some really fantastic people. Obviously many were there for health reasons but some were dealing with stress ...

After that I went back to the slow lane, always looking out for debris on the road, until later in the day I came down near the coast above Valencia, and began to feel more at home, somewhere I recognised, approaching Javea. Driving through towns as I got closer, off the motorway, with the sun leaving the sky and the lights coming on as if greeting the stars, ...
