      ... to us which was covered by an umbrella and occupied my a gentleman on his own enjoying a quiet beer. He seemed happy enough to practice his English with us. We discovered he was riding his bike from his home in Hamburg to Lisbon, a trip of around 2000 km. Bizarrely, he turned out the be the head of obstetrics and gynaecology at a private hospital.       ... night and a good sleep before heading off for Hornillos del Camino tomorrow morning, 21 kms away. I am told it is a 70% chance of rain for the next three days. Wet weather gear out of suitcase and into backpack!!!! No fun to be had walking 21 kms in the rain and getting soaking wet!! Because I wasnt "walking" today, I didnt open an "Inspirational piece". The purpose is to inspire me on the long walks, so one will be ready for tomorrow ...

      ... Castrojeriz which we blitzed in 20 mins and didn't even feel it! Sheesh! Killed the last 10km in today in 1 1/2 hours! Unbelievable especially with the extra few kilos on but it contained a lot of hard road and the feet are moaning AGAIN! Goodness me feet - suck it up. Nearly half way, you're doing fine!

      ... day. Weather-wise and sight wise. Our first object after breakfast was to see the cathedral. Well, this is very hard to describe in words...we did expect something good, and it is world heritage etc...but it is AMAZING! To put in perspective, I think I felt as awe struck as when seeing St. Peter's in Rome. It is not gaudy - just out of this world - to me! Anyway, all I can do is put up photos.... ...
