We ran the 5 minutes back and reached security. Queue.

Dripping from our foreheads and down our necks and backs, we caught our breath in a frustratingly slow queue with incompetent people who decided to wait until the conveyor belt moment to take the liquids out of their bags to sort out and also to remove jewellery. Finally we came through. 5 minutes to go.

We raced up the street and darted into and out of shops, continually taking turns to look over our shoulders. The inside was beautiful and it was cool to have a tour guide showing us all the small detail in so many places I never would have noticed. Apparently, in order to attend mass in the church you have to pre-order tickets and only a few hundred people are allowed to sit with another few hundred standing. There was even enough space for a choir of over 700 ...

... He was an Italian guy who had been in Barcelona for about two months, so he knew quite a few touristy type locations. We were able to see the beach, the zoo, Sagrada Familia, and the neatest alley ways (seriously).
