... a whole section dedicated to the effects of the chemical bombs where they had hundreds of photos of victims with the most hideous deformities. I couldn't look at them, but Jackie was in her element. There were even actual deformed foetuses in formaldehyde! The museum showed some very confronting photos of the Vietnam war and I'm not sure I would want to be American walking though this museum, we have two on this tour. It didn't paint a very pretty picture. Next we visited the Palace which is no longer habituated as the President doesn't live there. ... though! But hey, I'm quite picky about my palaces. This was built in the 60s (no wonder, just look at it), serving as South Vietnam's presidential palace and looks today just as it did when the first communist tanks crashed through its gates marking the fall of Saigon to the Communist North. Well it looks almost the same... Just with new gates. Obvs.



Two buildings (Theatre and Opera house) seemed too French to be true... And turns out they were actually based ...
