... s exactly how long it took us to get there, and for the first time on this trip, WE MISSED OUR TRAIN! Called amtrak and got booked onto the last train of the night leaving at 11, and went to a nearby sports bar to kill time until then. Maine was beautiful! It was a foggy, misty wet day but comfortable temperature. We had breakfast by camp stove, we need a two burner stove soon. For lunch we heading to Ken's Place for clam strips and lobster rolls then to the pier to see the water and walk around a bit. Most shops were closed for ...

When the clock wound down to 5 minutes left and our arms were falling off, we tried bowling with our left hands, we definitely looked coordinated in front of all of the professional bowlers who seemed to have crawled out of the gutters. Finally, it was time to pick up Thomas and trek back to Bangor. We would be able to catch a few hours of shut eye before beginning our jam-packed weekend of flying, hiking and fun!
