We woke up after twelve hours of much needed sleep. Tonga is twenty hours ahead of California, so we didn't feel that jet lagged. We went for a run on very thick sand. We woke up very enthusiastic and ran for 45 minutes through the thick sand. We were trying our best to stay in shape as much as possible to be ready for our upcoming four week trek in Nepa. After crossing the International Dateline, we arrived in Tonga on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 23rd – more than two days after we originally left San Francisco.
