... 7 pm we could see why. There was a queue of young things showing photo ID to get in. I stood in the queue while John wandered to the front to speak to the girl on the door. She said 'no photo ID no entry'. We obviously didn't have any with us, strangely enough we don't get asked for it very often. John explained why we wanted to go in and they thought it was such a lovely reason, they let us jump the queue! If we were ...

... Things got a little hectic after spotting a snake in the roof, because you never know if it's deadly or not. Turns out it was just a baby Python. Joe returned the snake to the ground where it belongs. Afterwards, Carms friend Casey came over who is a lot of fun! We sat on the deck having drinks and then decided to have a fire on the beach. ... the main street (no eftpos only cash). We thought we were out of place in Byron Bay but this place - far out. Full of young hippies and back packers and almost as many old ones. Main street smelt of dope, publics toilets did not have urinals, all uni sex and no locks on the doors and filthy. Had to experience the town but not a pleasant one. Lovely drive back to camp though through the hills via Murwillumbah.

Cross that bridge when you come to it.

This usually meant that Olga had to dive into the camera bag, take out the camera, remove the lens cap and then shoot. To her credit she only missed one, too which me and the kids went troppo at her. She didn't miss anymore after that. It ended up being a really fun game for the 5hr drive we had and hence all the pictures ...

A slower paced day today with just the 3 and a half hour drive down the coast to Coffs Harbour. After a stop off at the Big Banana for some lunch we checked in and had a walk around the town, seeing some of the local wildlife upclose on route. Saw our first bit of rain too, and boy did it come down! Hopefully it won't be like this in the morning!! A nice evening meal before retreating for the ...
