... circumnavigates our great land, had degenerated into a narrow windy track with barely one lane in each direction. In parts it was very rough and broken up, and in a general state of disrepair. To give them credit, there were many areas of roadworks all along the way. Generally annoying, but definitely needed and appreciated.

... we stumbled upon the perfect place; an Aussie bar and grill. It was like Smith & Western in Chichester but with an Aussie twist. We had a super meal that was really good fun especially with Chloe telling us funny stories about the Lelliot's parties. After eating it was time to head back to the camper for night three. ... The white man made many aboriginals jump off it to their death! Troy took us to a great spot for lunch where we could have a swim and not need worry about sharks. We played some volleyball in the water and had a swim. Next stop were the champagne pools, right beside the ocean. We drove quite a distance and had a pretty long drive back to camp. ... one tiny one. Lol. Fun When we were getting ready to get back in the river to float this black snake was swimming towards shore. They are poisonous but not as bad as the brown snakes. The snake went into a hole in the bank. Read in the afternoon then around 4:00 Tom tried his big rod again and I looked for dolphins. Neither of us were lucky. ... given the lovely beach and the gorgeous weather and the fact it’s a weekend.

We head out on our final day to see some of the local markets, which are very disappointing! We then head back along the beach in the scorching sunshine, and do some more planning to get our east coast itinerary nailed – again, ultimately productive but it doesn’t feel like the best use of our time given the weather and beautiful beach!
