Next we drove to Bad Ischl which looked like a pretty town. It was quite nice and the river ran through the middle of it which was pretty. There were horse and carts everywhere and we walked down the town street following them. We managed to find a café that was open and it looked like a cute little tea room. We stopped there for hot chocolate and to warm up a bit. There was a parliament house/ castle type thing in the town too which ...

This time last year I was sitting on a bus recovering from a night bringing in 2014 in Paris with my Contiki family. I was full of excitement for the adventures up coming and optimism for the year that lay ahead.

At the lake there was a pontoon which was nice to walk out onto, the water was amazingly clear in the lake you could see right to the bottom. There was also a little swimming pool which was part of the lake but with steps down to it - I cant believe people actually swim in there!! It was iced over at the sides which shows how cold it is. Its very refreshing walking in the ...

... as soon as we arrived. After a quick power nap we took a bus to the Old Town to explore and get some dinner. It was a very scenic little place and we got some great photos which I'll be able to upload once I get home. The sunset was quite spectacular as we stood on a bridge full of love padlocks. We discovered that Salzburg is the birthplace of Mozart which explains why all the tourist merchandise has his face all over it. After a ...

Knowing that we was leaving early I was ready to get up at about 430 about this time the group are usually quite so it was strange to hear voices around that time so as I popped my head out of my tent I heard somebody say that the tents had been raided while people where sleeping inside. I got up and we found out that people had iPods, laptops, cameras and money stolen. I was one of the lucky ones as my tent was not touched. While waiting for the police to arrive some of ...
