After 3 weeks in England catching up with friends and family and attending my mate Raji's wedding it was time for my holiday to Dubai and back to Indonesia with Jack. We caught the train to Birmingham international and whilst checking in were told there was a 2 hour delay. We were given a food voucher each for £7.50 for the inconvenience - that's Emirates for you! ... our trip by taking a few happy snaps. Next bathers were on and we caught a few rays at the infinity swimming pool. After Toby's allocated sun exposure time (white skin is a curse) we went back to our room and slept before meeting up with Hadley at 9pm for dinner and drinks....well Toby slept. ... actual prices to stay there are unbelievable! Low season, it is $5,000 per nite!! In the high season $80,000 per night will get you a room! Jumeirah Beach is a very up market area - we saw many cosmetic surgeries along the main road and the homes were large and quite stunning to see. Up at 6, bit weary after such a late night but straight to airport and much better check in this time. Quick last family breakfast before heading our separate ways. We on the airbus a380 so gates are a train ride away from the other gates so had to say bye to james in main terminal as he on smaller plane to Perth. End of a fantastic holiday, sad to see it end but ready for home and our own beds again..... And to plan our next adventure. Stay tuned! Thanks for reading my blog. Janine ...
