    ... have the correct ticket to view it. Much to his disappointment he couldn't sell us a ticket, and he couldn't make us un-see it, so take that curator!

    Public transport in Belgium has been exceptional, we never had to consult a timetable, we just turned up at tram stops or train stations and waited no more than a few minutes for the next service.     Ce qui surprend le plus au premier abord est la différence d'avec Bruges. Certes le style des vieux bâtiments est identique, mais là où Bruges donne une impression de musée à ciel ouvert qui fonctionne grâce au tourisme, Gand est une ville vivante et active.
