After dropping off our goodies from Brugge, we, hopped the tram, bound for Gravensteen castle. The present castle was built in 1180 by count Philip of Alsace. We took the tour, which provided interesting insight to the period in which it was built as well as its eventual abandonment, decay, and rebirth. I saw a bunch of people half asleep in very uncomfortable metal chairs
in one area so I headed that way and found a seat. I sat clutching my camera
