          ... me over 500. SUCCESS! My good fortuned continued when the guesthouse I had been suggested was only minutes from the bus stop. So after a few moments of bartering the guesthouse keeper and I agreed on 500 rupees for two nights. Just over half price from her original offer. DOUBLE SUCCESS!           ... and trains/buses/rickshaws it was most needed, I didn't wear shoes for the entire week! Particular highlights included the afternoon boat fishing trip with guys from the hostel and also a much needed chill out day to the Ashvem beach further up the coast. Goa isn't really India and is more like a lawless slice of Spain or Portugal, I guess we have to be thankful the Brits didnt get their claws into this bit!
