... with no more than 150,000 inhabitants, but still one of Romania's 10 largest cities. Romania's population is somewhere around 18 million people if I remember correctly. After a drink in Crystal Cafe I went to the apartment to rest, and to do some laundry. I woke up the next day quite tired, and I slept till 9:30 am which was strange as during my time in Europe I had been waking up at 6am due to the jet lag. I caught up with family and friends on FaceTime ...

... The morning always begins with a discussion of where the coffee and pastry stop will be and the local merchants are usually happy to accommodate, even if a bit overwhelmed by a troupe of sweaty people in funny clothes pointing and gesturing w/ a handful of the local currency. And there's always a post-lunch stop for gelato (I won't mention who holds the record for 6 scoops!) ...

... on a pick-nick area that probably hadn't been used for a week or more. We only noticed that there were animals in the water after each drinking 1,5 litre of it. So what do you do? Be a hero and drink the rest as well? well, we didn't, were not feeling to well for two or three days and then that was over as well.)

So, all in all, we survived this wonderfull country wthout a scar and recommend it to annyone (but do be careful, because ....)

W wydostaniu sie z Suboticy pomogl mi moj host, ktory podwiozl mnie 30km az do granicy z Wegrami, tak, ze nastepenego stopa lapalrm podobnie jak w Kosowie - stojaca kilkanascie metrow od budki sprawdzajacej paszporty.
