... their respect. There was about a 5 minute speech made on behalf of PNTC staff and then everyone, including us, went around to each family member, kneeled down, shook hands and touched both cheeks to express our sympathy for their loss. Even though it was a very sad situation, it was interesting to see how quickly the funeral process takes place in this country and amazing to witness the generosity of these people, they really are a FAMILY. It was a rush but I was really glad to get to have a Black Canyon coffee. Me and Mary saw Mr. Sukowit this afternoon. New treatment ideas: backwards stepping to increase knee flexion (and thus decrease circumspection) during gait, place and hold ...

... We had a little fire and snacks and all sat back to back to keep warm. It was cold but I wasn't too bad with all of my layers, it honestly felt like a winter day in NZ. After an hour or so we started hiking again. It was very steep in some parts, so much that I had to crawl up. I remember thinking "how am I going to get down this tomorrow?" At one point we stopped and we could see the clouds surrounding Mt. Merapi by the moonlight- it was beautiful. At 1 am we set up a ...
