... Philippines! Vien came over to say good-bye quickly as well and we gave him a Starbucks GC as a thank-you for all his help with planning some of our big adventures. He always studies at Starbucks so he was pretty excited I think. Midnight rolls around and I have rounded up and re-packed everything back into my bags. Getting picked up at 4am to be taken to the airport in Yogyakarta to fly to Denpasar, Bali. Titi arranged this car for us because she didn't feel safe ...

Ortho hospital day 2. I was in Inpatients today and it was definitely an experience. The rooms are very different from Canada. There's 6 patients in a room but no curtains between beds and no privacy at all really. And there's no air con so it's super hot- no wonder the patients' families are always fanning them. It was super hot on our bike ride back to PNTC so we stopped at Alphamart for ice creams before dance class. Dance class was good today- probably the best we've done the dance yet. I've got all the moves down, now ...

... Mily (a patient's mom) recommended. We had mahi-mahi and it was amazing! Good thing too because the lunch ended up being $13 per person (expensive by Indo standards haha) Shopping at Paragon Mall- easily the nicest mall in Solo. We got groceries and stuff for the hike. I got some decent track pants and a really nice hoodie. I feel prepared for the hike now and I am actually looking forward to ...

... right across from our hostel has a pretty bad riptide though, so we will have to find another one for swimming and surfing. We went for dinner to the hotel down the road. The server and some of the guests were very friendly and told us some good things to do in Pacitan. Apparently there are caves, 4 beaches, and hot springs. Today is the last day of Ramadhan, and tomorrow is Eid ( like their Christmas Day). It was crazy in town tonight! People riding around ...
