Hello from Nafplio, the first capital of Greece! What a day we had today!

It started very early this morning, or so Mom told me. She was awakened at about 6am in Monemvasia to the sound of high winds and things being blown around and falling over. She truly thought we were enduring a hurricane - but it was just wind! Dad and I slept very well and never heard a thing. The hotel room we were in was built for people who are not ...

... you keep your thoughts raised high,
“as long as a rare excitement
“stirs your spirit and your body.”

The only way I could hitchhike to Ithaka was if I walked through Korinthos and then hitchhiked short rides on a small highway.

Glen and I went out for a lovely dinner with Isabele and Emma and ate way too much as usaul then wandered back to the boat and caught a gorgeous gorgeous sunset. That night we all had quite a few drinkies on the boat and Flip and I decided we were going to sleep on lilos up top, after almost roiling over the side I decided that bed was much safer for me!

... we realise it is a sleepy town that moves at its own pace. With no cars or even a bicycle it is a quiet town.

The streets are once again paved in marble and are worn with the passing of time so in places it is very slippery. I don't known how the donkeys manage.

We selected a place to eat which was great, except my meal was huge and don't know how anyone could finish it. When our meal was done we made our way back ...

... repute. Some of this comes out in the details of the letters to the Corinthians, but I'll let you figure that out. All I'll say is that it was an ancient superstition to leave a clay image of a damaged or diseased body parts along with a sacrifice for healing at a temple to the goddess of healing, and some of the models would cause a stir if they were imported to the XIT Museum. After Corinth it was lunch time part a: we wanted to get up ...
