    ... we'll be leaving quite early to stay out of the heat of the day. No pictures today as it was mostly flat for miles and miles/ rangeing from farmland to Texas hill country to some desert like plains.     ... temp was 99! It's now 101 as I write this and the wind is blowing across this crazy odd landscape at high speed. Dinner, I think, will consist of leftovers.....it's too darn hot to cook! Oh, and as a bonus, Walmart is right around the corner to restock all those necessities!  Tomorrow we'll head toward Albuquerque....Go west young ...

    ... 27 tonight for our camping and that includes full hook-up with Wi-FI. CHEAP! And where we are tonight is right next to WalMart. WooHoo! We went right over and bought some beer and a big bag of ice to cool it down to ICE cold.

    Hopefully the next entry I make will be from Alberquerque, NM.

    ... pockets of copper deposits scattered throughout the area: great for horseback riding, hiking, swimming and just kicking back.

    Back in the old boring real world, I’m still recovering from the Pittsburgh Marathon but starting to train for the NYC Marathon. It’s been hot hot hot in the Burgh. Like loss of 6 pounds in 5 miles hot. Looking forward to the Brentwood 5K on July 4th!

    ... to our first rodeo, and paraded into the world's largest Honky Tonk venue where we learned that we can't really dance. Next, we headed to Fortworth's bigger brother; Dallas. Dallas was very hot and happening. Our hotel was right on Dealy Plaza so it made sense for our first stop to be the JFK museum, located on the street that JFK was assassinated.
