... push it out, Paul supervised. I did mention to Paul while I was eating mystery foods out of baggies today that he gets to dig my hole when dysentery sets in 1/2 way through the trek.

Its incredibly beautiful here. We are very lucky to have the opportunities to see the places we have been to. I'm sure the overnight trek will be no exception. Many pictures to post and stories to tell, but this is it until we get some free wifi.

... back up the bumpy road for our sunrise trek up to the Ijen crater. The Ijen peak only sits as 2368m but is within a stunning, isolated and thickly forested pine area. Gunung Ijen actually means ‘lonely mountain’ so we went to give it some company, and of course to see the main attraction, the enormous turquoise sulphur lake some 200 metres down below the volcano’s sheer crater walls.

... waters of the falls. After a swim and waterfall massage, we stopped for lunch and then tubed in tandom the half hour trip down the turbulent river, back to the village. This was a great end to the trip, as we could sit back and look at the rainforest towering either side of us.
