... an above-ground train back into London, and the the tube to Knightsbridge for an early evening visit at Harrods. Charley has been less panicked on the Underground; still very reluctant, but much more in control. On the way back this afternoon Mitch pulled out all stops to entertain and distract her and I think it worked well.

When we finally arrived at Harrods, Ben and I hit the wall with exhaustion, but the kids were full of energy and excitement - they had ...

The view was great, I was able to see London lit up with all of its iconic buildings standing out. The ride was slower than I thought it would be, but it was well worth the view! ... exhaustion that would follow.

Our first two nights in the gorgeous Park Plaza Riverside were spent sleeping off the aching muscles and weary bones before heading off to work again.

I can't say that the staff at this particular hotel were all that welcoming which might have had a lot to do with us looking rather unkempt in our wrinkled clothing and carrying all of our worldly possessions in plastic packets and carry ...

... them! The apartment is beautiful and Bozzie has totally spoiled us with her generosity. We had hoped to see the musical 'Matilda' last night but it is basically sold out for the next few days so we went to 'Wicked' instead- no need to say much about that except that it was awesome as usual. Today is shopping and British Museum day- am hoping we can keep the walking under five kilometres :-) Photos coming soon as I have finally obtained a new SD ...
