It seemed like ages. Finally he came back, told me the correct pronunciation, stamped my passport a few times, and sent me on my way.

- On the beach at Point d'Esny a man sold crabs that were still alive.
- The current in Point d'Esny just took me away. So I started on the right side with snorkeling and didn't have to swim to see everything.

... really beautiful. We also bought snorkeling gear because tomorrow we are going snorkeling! I bought a new bikini and then we went to eat something at Restaurant La Plancha which was very good. ... Semester at Sea would be like. Getting lost, seeing so much poverty and suffering, eating strangely wonderful foods, and constantly stretching my comfort zone. ... curried and very, very tasty. The seafood is exceptional and every other restaurant is either Indian or Chinese. Our hotel food is pretty good too. It's a shame that we have just settled and acclimatised, only to have to leave again. Tomorrow to Johannesburg and the Eastern Transvaal.
As we checked out we found out that the hotel was closing in a few days for renovations... for 4 months! It was obviously meant to be. ...
