Lovely La Serena Quirky Valparaiso!

I also climbed up to the Cerro the de la Virgen, a surreal open air church at the top of a hill just north ...

Their friend had got a kidney infection that became so bad she had to be hospitalized. I think we got off lightly in comparison. Finally, after 6 days in La Serena we departed and took a bus to San Pedro de Atacama: land of the mystical Atacama Desert (the driest desert in the world), volcano strewn mountain chains and geysers.
