... I even saw a picture of the bathing compartments pulled by horses into the water so people could swim without anyone seeing them in their swimmers. I'm presuming it was for the women! I also presume their swimmers were neck to ankle... lol what would they think these days!!
I was going to have lunch on the pier but they weren't selling any food.. ah well you can't have it all your own way!
... a lot to see when your on them.
So we decided on a next stop as Lyme Regis on the South Coast to break up our journey back to London. It's a nice place at the start of the Jurassic Coast which we did not have time to explore. Kim impressively went for a morning run even though it was rainy and windy and I stayed tucked up in bed!
... we went into the club. Where they were just finishing off the kids club show. We had a three piece singing group and then two comedians. I think the entertainment startedabout 9 and went through till about 1. In the club they had a kids amusement centre, with pool tables, dance machines and arcade games.. we went through a lot of 2p coins than night!! I was really surprised at the amount of entertainment there. A lot of fun for a big kid like me!!
Poole, England, United Kingdom sares12... a smashing roast at the White Lion Carvery in Crewkerne.
Sad to leave this morning, Art went off to work in Bridport at about 8.30 am and we were so imersed in chatting with Thurza that we didn' get away til 11.45 am.
Arrived at Wayne & Julia Stonehams new pad at about 3.30 pm after stopping for lunch.
Hoping to catch the England v Croatia World Cup qualifier in about half an hour live on ITV!!
... in the future. Our son and family left us on the Monday to return home as they both had work on the Tuesday but next time we shall plan it better so we can spend more time together. How quiet and strange it was after they had left we missed them terribly. We took to our bikes on the Tuesday, first time we had ridden for 5 weeks, and yes it was tough going. We thought we would cycle to "Tyneham" to visit the deserted village there. Well ...
Wareham, Dorset, United Kingdom teamceri"ADDIS ABABA, VERY GOOD !" shouted a strange, vaguely dark skinned male at us as we drove up the Esplanade. He didn't look Ethiopian, more Moroccan perhaps. I'm not sure why he was wandering in the traffic on Weymouth Seafront, trying to flag the bus down. We weren't taking fare paying passengers anyway and if we were, he had a long wait at the police station before we were off in 3 months. He was able to see our destination from our ...

Of that whole journey, which I will one day, if time permits relate to you, we were most impressed by Switzerland. At the time it was the most expensive place in Europe. A grapefruit priced at a Co-op shop in Basel, en route, scared us into living very frugally whilst in that country! So we missed out on the wonderful transport opportunities of rail, cablecars and lake ...

Netherlands. Unfortunately the Grimsel and Furka, even in mid June were
both still blocked by snow and we had to detour to Montigny and thence
over the St Bernard Pass and down to Aolta.

... information, insurance quotes, etc. DVLA confirm that I can drive the bus on my driving licence, as long as it has 16 seats or less (we'll take most of them out and put a bar in, maybe a putting green and beer terrace on the top deck.) and it weighs under 7.5 tonnes (how much does a double decker weigh ?). For your information a Routemaster double decker bus weighs 7 tonnes. Hopefully ours is similar, less the weight of the roof, less the weight of 60 seats. I ...
